Roc Associates were requested to mitigate the defects and upgrade the passive fire protection insulation of the structural steel within the transfer deck, as recommended by the fire consultants. In collaboration with the consultants we prepared the specification and tender document sufficient to receive competitive prices for the works required.
We acted as contract administrators from inception to completion of the project, including monitoring progress, certifying payments and issuing practical completion.
The transfer deck consists of steel beams in excess of 2m in height spanning over Cannon Bridge Train Station to support a six storey office building.
